South Philadelphia native, Dexter Moore has been performing in front of audiences since age 11. Dexter grew up in a musical family.
His dad is an organist, both brothers are drummers, his sister is the singer in the family and his mom, R.I.P. played the piano. You
could say music is in his genes.
Like many talented musicians, Dexter’s initial exposure began in the church. Through his associations
with other talented musicians Dexter was introduced to Gabriel Hardeman, The Gabriel Hardeman Delegation, at a jam session in Camden
in 1987 and this would profoundly change his music career forever.
Dex has toured in Europe as well as throughout the USA and has been
privileged to play behind some real industry heavy-hitters in both Gospel and secular music; including Yolanda Adams, BeBe Winans,
CeCe Winans, Vicki Winans, Hezekiah Walker, Norman Hutchins, Edwin Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, Zahmu, Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige, Miles
Jaye and Teddy Pendergrass.
